Dinky Dinos, Heffy Doodle, wow embossing powder

Blog Post 1

Hi, Emma here, i thought i would start my first blog post off today and show you how i created this cute dinosaur birthday card for my nephew.

First i started by cutting my card base to 4 1/4 inches by 11 inches and scoring at 5 1/2 inches, then cutting another piece with a stitched rectangle die which measures 3 3/8 inches by 2 1/8 inches.

I then cut some Lawn Fawn Perfectly Plaid paper to 4 1/4 by 5 1/2 and taped that to the front of my card base.

I then stamped my images on to a separate piece of card stock and coloured them in using Copic markers. Then I die cut them using the coordinating dies and also cut some green card for the grass.

On my stitched rectangle piece i used the MFT cloud stencil and some Tumbled Glass distress ink to do the sky. I then arranged my die cuts and placed them onto the rectangle piece with a combination of foam squares and liquid glue.

I then took a scrap of black card stock and stamped my sentiments with the wow embossing ink pad.  I then covered this with white embossing powder and heat set.  I then cut this out using a banner die and the coordinating die from the set then stuck it to my card base using both foam tape and liquid glue.

I then glued my remaining images to the inside along with the same patterned paper used on the outside also cut with my grass die.

My card is now finished.  I hope you like this.

I am hoping to upload blog posts every Monday.

Thanks for reading.
