Hi everyone, today i made a card using the Avery Elle Be A Unicorn Stamp Set and Be A Unicorn Die Set. I wanted to create a one layer card but felt that the unicorn would be better popped up, so its close to a one layer card.
I started with a piece of Neenah Solar White card stock cut to 4 1/4 by 11 inches and scored at 5 1/2 inches. I then cut another piece to 4 1/8 by 5 3/8 inches. I then stamped the 2 rainbows and my sentiment on my card front and also stamped the unicorn on a separate piece using Lawn Fawn Black Licorice dye ink. I also stamped the rainbows onto some Inkadinkado masking paper.
I then took the masking paper and cut out the rainbows and placed them onto my card front over the rainbows. Then using Spun Sugar distress ink and a blending foam i created the clouds background using the MFT Mini Cloud Edges stencil. I also tried not to go over the sentiment too much.
Next i took my Copic markers and coloured in my rainbows and also my unicorn using just 2 markers for each colour as it was only a small area. I then took the coordinating dies and die cut the unicorn.
Next i took my Spectrum Noir glitter pen and put in on the clouds and the unicorn's mane and tail.
Taking one of the small hearts from the stamp set and some Memento Love Letter ink i the stamped a few of the around the card and then attached the unicorn using foam squares.
Next i took several sequins from the Pretty Pink Posh 6mm Sweetheart Mix pack and the 4mm Pink Peonies pack and glued them to my card using Ranger Multi Medium Matte adhesive.
To complete the inside of my card i took the MFT Mini Cloud Edges stencil and the Spun Sugar distress ink and blended on a couple of rows of clouds before stamping the unicorn image in the same Spun Sugar distress ink. I then took the "Happy Birthday" stamp from the MFT Essential Sentiments set and stamped that next to the unicorn.
I then glued my card front to my card base using Tonic Studios Craft Tacky Glue.
Now my card is finished, i hope you like it.
Thanks for reading.
